About Me - Amy
I received my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience followed by my Master of Science in Biomedical Science from Midwestern University. I defended my thesis on the Effects of Photobiomodulation on In Vivo and In Vitro Oral Cancer Models in May 2023. I’m currently a second-year dental student, building on my strong foundation in the sciences and continuing to deepen my understanding of healthcare and patient care.
As someone who's taken her fair share of science classes, I enjoy sharing tips, resources, and strategies with my students to help simplify complex science topics into understandable concepts. Since I experimented a lot with learning styles to discover what worked best for me, I can help my students find the perfect study methods tailored to their habits. I tutor all levels of Biology, Chemistry, Gentics, Anatomy/Physiology, Cell Biology as well as Math (algebra and geometry through Calculus). In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with loved ones.
Given the advanced science and math classes I've taken throughout my educational journey, I understand how intimidating these subjects can feel. My experience, however, has helped me accumulate a variety of helpful resources and strategies that led to my success—and I'm excited to share them. I scored in the 96th percentile on the DAT with a perfect QR score thanks to these tools!
If you’re looking for someone to help you navigate your science and math courses, patiently guide you through assignments, and push you to reach your fullest potential, feel free to reach out—let’s work together toward your success!
